Torres de Quart

Greetings from beautiful, and sunny, 74 degrees Valéncia, Spain!

We made the quick two hour drive from Alicante, Spain to Valencia with no problems and checked in to our Airbnb!

Our Balcony in Valencia

We’ve stayed here previously, and enjoyed the space and the city very much.

Valéncia is a large city with over 1.5 million residents. It has the second largest port on the Mediterranean. Agriculture and tourism are its economic strengths, and it’s a lovely city.

Damage from the Valéncia floods November 2024.

You might remember that in November Valéncia had a terrible flood that killed over 220 people. We drove past this very spot the above picture shows. It’s must have been terrible and tragic. We said our prayers for the residents.🙏🏻

Mercat Central Valéncia

Valéncia is a world renowned food city. It’s located in the bread basket of Spain, and its food and markets are some of the world’s best!

My goodness, it’s a real bakery😜

It’s an easy walk to the market from the Airbnb, 20 minutes and we passed fantastic bakery after fantastic bakery! We must be getting closer to France 😉

First built in 1910, the Central Market in Valencia is fantastic. Let’s take a tour.
