Greetings from beautiful Benalmadena, Spain!
As we discussed, we had to Pivot in this next move. Our Airbnb in Rincon de la Victoria, just outside Malaga, cancelled our stay 5 days before our arrival. So, we needed to find a five night stay on very, very short notice!
So, we went on Airbnb and we were lucky enough to find a wonderful space in Benalmadena.
It’s a short drive from Estepona to Benalmadena, less than 60 miles. We drove past thousands and thousands of apartments, condos, and villas lining the Costa del Sol on the way here. It’s staggering how many UK people vacation and live here.
It’s funny though, we were looking for a place outside Malaga that had more of a Spanish vibe. Benalmadena is like Florida, Arizona and Mexico rolled into one for the Brits, thousands and thousands of them! Spanish feel, not so much😉
You’d think English is the official language of the Costa del Sol🫣 Bangers and Mash with mushy peas all around 😎
First full day we decided to make the short drive to Malaga and do a little sightseeing!
Ok, it’s starting to rain and the lighting is terrible so I’m going to use some pictures from last trip to Malaga.
